About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Site Surveillance Technician (CSST). While having a CSST certification is advantageous, JLM Environmental is committed to providing opportunities for individuals to develop their expertise within the Environmental Consulting field.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough surveys of clients' properties, following established sampling procedures
Perform environmental hazard surveys for asbestos, lead, mold, radon, fire and smoke byproducts, methamphetamine residue, and VOCs (includes visual inspections and proper sampling techniques)
Accurately complete Chain-of-Custody (COC) forms for each inspection
Prepare detailed inspection reports with notes on materials, locations, quantities, and other necessary information
Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing client questions and concerns with respect and expertise
Perform inspections promptly (including drive-time) to keep scheduled appointments
Position Requirements
Working knowledge of asbestos, lead, and mold inspections/consultations (preferred)
Certifications in asbestos and lead handling (highly regarded)
Proven customer service skills required
Ability to work in diverse environments (indoors, outdoors, hot/cold temperatures, inclement weather)
Proficiency in wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) due to exposure to environmental hazards
Physically capable of climbing ladders (attics, roofs) and entering confined spaces (crawlspaces); ability to carry ~50 pounds throughout the day
Availability to work 40–50 hours per week (sit up to 60% of the day, including driving)
Motivated, team-player attitude
Qualifications/Education
High School Diploma or G.E.D. (Required)
Customer Service Experience (Required)
Cal/OSHA Site Surveillance Technician (CSST) Certification (Preferred, but not required at time of employment)
CDPH Sampling Technician License (Preferred, but not required at time of employment)
NRSB Radon Measurement Specialist/Technician Certification or NRPP Radon Measurement Professional (Preferred, not required)
Clean DMV driving record (must provide upon request)
